Gnomes for the Seasons with Spellbinders Gnome Hugs Die Set

I had a blast creating with the Gnome Hugs Die Set; gnomes are so cute!  The die set is really for Christmas gnomes but I decided to use the die set to creat gnomes for all seasons.   Here are 4 seasonal cards created with the same die set, Gnome Hugs from Spellbinders. (S6-213)

Since this is a Christmas die set, let's start with the Christmas Card.  I used Stamperia Christmas paper scraps and a journaling card to create this card.

The sentiment is printed on a transparency and glued to a small tag.

Halloween is coming soon so I thought some "spooky gnomes" were in order.  I don't think gnomes are very spooky, they're too cute to be scary!  This card is made with left over bits of Haloween paper.  In addition to using the Gnome Hugs die set, I used Autumn Wonder for the pumpkins, and Notched Corner Frames for the inner black print layer.

The gnome on the left is wearing a witch's hat that I fussy cut instead of the die-cut hat.  The two larger pumpkins are cut with Autumn Wonder and the smaller is from an older 2018 die set, the pickup truck bed.

Of course, I needed a beach gnome for the summer!  I used Graphic 45's Sun Kissed collection for this card.  Our gnome is playing in the sand with a fussy cut shovel and bucket.

I rounded off the hat die cut from the Gnome Hugs set to make what I hope resembles a swim cap.  And his feet, well they're  supposed to be swim flippers that I just cut freehand.  Ha!  Whatever... they look a bit like feet or flippers. 😄

And finally, the spring gnomes in their garden of flowers, die cut using the Envelope of Wonder flower dies and papers from Graphic 45's Once UPon a Springtime collection.

...And that's a wrap for Gnomes for the Seasons!  Thanks for joining me and my gnomes today!

New Spellbinders Color Block Mini Shapes

Spellbinders has a new collection, Color Block Mini Shapes, that I think are great for making paper embellishments.

This is the Color Block Mini Inverted Squares die set, it's acutally just 2 dies that cut the graduated set.  Cut several from different colors and then mix and match the squares.

Look how cool these Inverted Squares look on this card. I cut two sets of squares and then mixed them together.  They just add another layer of wow-ness to the card.

I also used a Spellbinders die to cut the "Get Well" sentiment above the inverted squares embellies.

New Spellbinders Color Block Background Collection - Southwest

I love how these cards turned out!  This is the Spellbinders Southwest Color Block die but it doesn't have to look southwest as you can see on these fun Graphic 45 Let it Bee cards.

The die cuts pieces like pictured below and you put them together in any fashion you like.  One word of caution though, layout the pieces as they came out of the die because two of the cuts look very similar, but, they are not.  If you put them in the wrong place, you will find that something doesn't fit quite right.  Now, ask me how I know this?  😉

I used Graphic 45's Let it Bee collection to make both of these cards and used a collection sticker on the front of this one.

I love the sentiment on this one!  It's a Tim Holtz Big Talk sticker.

Spellbinder's Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Club for December

The Amazing Paper Grace kit for December makes the Enchanting Pocket Card Tag and Envelope.  Isn't this amazing and what's more, it certainly something I need this time of year.  I always end up gifting a few gift cards at Christmas and though the gift is not original, I do love to present the gift card in a really special way.  This fits the bill for sure!

I made 3 different gift card envelopes with tag liners and they are so pretty!

The one on the left is line with gold foil and is so elegant.  Unfortunately, gold foil is really difficult to photograph and I'm sorry I really didn't capture it's beauty.

I added flowers that are made with dies that come in the kit and they are so petite and pretty.  They are perfectly sized for these gift cards.  I chose to leave the flaps open on these two as they were included inside a box.

I folded the third gift card holder as an envelope and again used hand made flowers to embellish. I diecut two tag inserts and cut the top off one and adhered to the outside of the envelope for this stunning look.

Spellbinders Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken

Spellbinders Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken is so perfect for creating an elegant slim line card.  Here I've used 4 different diecut paper layers to create my card.

I used diecuts that came with the paper collection (an older Kaisercraft collection, Golden Grove, to embellish the card.  I gave them dimension by popping up with foam and by using a stylus to give shape to the paper flowers and leaves.

The Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection also includes a great stamp sentiment collection.  I used one of the stamps and the accompanying diecut to add a sentiment to my card.

I kept the inside simple and just added a border and flower sticker so that there is plenty of room to write a note.

Spellbinders Large Tag with Sweet Serenade Notecards by Becca Feeken

I've used Graphic 45's 2021 Christmas Collection, Let it Snow,  to fashion this oh so pretty large tag using Spellbinders Flourished Sonata Sweet Serenade Notecard die set.  Not only does this die set make beautiful slimline cards, it also works great on large tags.  I've used a large chipboard tag (5.5" x 10") from Creative Embellishments as my base.

I layered a base die-cut (green) and flourish die-cut (red) from the Flourish Sonata die set on the tag.

Look at the detailed cut outs on the flourishes.  I love how the paper underneath peeks through. The inside can also be cut out but I opted to not cut it out.

I stamped "every day" onto one of the tags from the design paper using the Just A Note Sentiments and Tag stamp set that works so nicely with this die set.

You can really dress up and  give your tags and cards character by using different die-cuts.  I love the cut out designs that just can't be done by hand.

To add a snowy effect to the tag, I added Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Enamel around the edge of the tag and heat set.  I love that snowy look!

October Amazing Paper Grace Die from Spellbinders

Ready for some vampire love?  The Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month is so pretty and romantic.  It immediately made me think of a wedding or anniversary card.  But being October my head just can't do pretty love, this month is all about Halloween and spooky things!

Images of the die set.

But still, I was kind of hung up on the romantic feel of these dies and so here you have it folks, Vampire Love! Well you know Halloween has to be a great day for vampires right?  I thought this card was just right for the occasion!

Look at all the beautiful scroll details in the center.  The small flowers were made with dies included in this month's set while the large flower is a purchased bloom.

And, all the beautiful scroll work in the corners.

Best of all, is the pretty shape of this card.  Included in this die set, is a die that allows you to cut a shaped card.  That really adds a layer of sophistication to your card!

I don't know whether to save this card for Valentines or Halloween.  Either way, I know my sweetheart will love it!

Card with Oriental Lily and Wellies from Susan Tierney-Cockburn Garden Club for Spellbinders

I love Susan's Garden Club collection of dies from Spellbinders.  These lilies might look hard to make, but they are really easy!

Those Wellies are just the cutest and make the perfect vessel to hold your bouquet of flowers!  Ane yes, the Wellie die is included in this die set.

To make the flowers, you just brush on some ink started from the flower center out to the petals.  Then dot on some "freckles".  Pinch the petals and layer one petal set over another.  Then add the stamen.  You can view Susan's full assembly video here.

Spellbinders Cactus Dahlias & Creative Embellishments Large Chipboard Tag

Time for some large tag fun!  Creative Embellishments has great chipboard tags that measure 5.5" x 10".  They are just the perfect size!  The paper I used is Graphic 45's new Let it Snow collection.  Spellbinder's Susan Tierney-Cockburn's Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery die set was perfect for decorating the tag with some beautiful flowers in a pottery dish.

I used Merry Christmas words from Creative Embellishments and covered them with Lindy's mist and then added Crystal Stickles.  On the background I stenciled snowflakes with white modeling paste as I thought that would brighten the blue background.  I also added some Icicle Stickles to the snowflakes.

The flowers are handmade using Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery dies.   I used a little white paint and Stickles to make them snow sparkly!

The Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery dies include a lovely pottery dish that I tucked my sentiment into as well as my flowers.  I gave the die cut a pottery look by using Iced Spruce Oxide Ink.

Creative Embellishments has the perfect pine cone branch to work with my snowy flowers.  First, I colored it with Lindy's mist and then added Crystal Stickles to make it sparkle. I dry brushed the pine cones with white paint and added some Frosted Lace Stickles.

Spellbinder's Amazing Paper Grace Club Kit

WOW!  Take a look at Spellbinders' September Amazing Paper Grace Club Kit!  It's a 3-D  Vintage Cash Register that folds flat so that you can use it on a card.

This is just too cute!!  I used black, brown, and gold cardstock to fashion my register.  Then to glam it up, I rubbed gold Luster Wax over the embossed pieces.

I turned this into a nice large card by layering up some cardstock and then adding that cute vintage cash register. Along the sides I used an older Spellbinders die, Swirls Strip. The gold panel layer was die-cut using a die from the  S5-230 Nestabilities Romantic Rose Etched Dies set.  I love tha the cash register will fold flat for easy mailing.

I love this die and that's:  😊
