Card with Oriental Lily and Wellies from Susan Tierney-Cockburn Garden Club for Spellbinders

I love Susan's Garden Club collection of dies from Spellbinders.  These lilies might look hard to make, but they are really easy!

Those Wellies are just the cutest and make the perfect vessel to hold your bouquet of flowers!  Ane yes, the Wellie die is included in this die set.

To make the flowers, you just brush on some ink started from the flower center out to the petals.  Then dot on some "freckles".  Pinch the petals and layer one petal set over another.  Then add the stamen.  You can view Susan's full assembly video here.

Spellbinders Cactus Dahlias & Creative Embellishments Large Chipboard Tag

Time for some large tag fun!  Creative Embellishments has great chipboard tags that measure 5.5" x 10".  They are just the perfect size!  The paper I used is Graphic 45's new Let it Snow collection.  Spellbinder's Susan Tierney-Cockburn's Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery die set was perfect for decorating the tag with some beautiful flowers in a pottery dish.

I used Merry Christmas words from Creative Embellishments and covered them with Lindy's mist and then added Crystal Stickles.  On the background I stenciled snowflakes with white modeling paste as I thought that would brighten the blue background.  I also added some Icicle Stickles to the snowflakes.

The flowers are handmade using Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery dies.   I used a little white paint and Stickles to make them snow sparkly!

The Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery dies include a lovely pottery dish that I tucked my sentiment into as well as my flowers.  I gave the die cut a pottery look by using Iced Spruce Oxide Ink.

Creative Embellishments has the perfect pine cone branch to work with my snowy flowers.  First, I colored it with Lindy's mist and then added Crystal Stickles to make it sparkle. I dry brushed the pine cones with white paint and added some Frosted Lace Stickles.

Nature Journal for Eileen Hull Designs

Here's a tag journal I made using some of Eileen Hull Designs dies in ways that you might not have considered.  This journal was made with the Folio Journal die.

You might be thinking, wait that's a big die and your tag journal is small. While that is true, with a little creative thinking we can change the size.

A journal made with the Folio Journal usually looks like this.  As you can see it's a lot larger than my tag journal above.

I'll be doing a Facebook live to show you how I made the tag journal.  I'll be showing how to make this style tag album tomorrow (9/9/21) at 4 pm EST on Facebook Live with Eileen Hull.

You can catch the replay here.

" Admit One" stamp from Eileen's new stamp release with Maker Forte.

Travel Layout for Creative Embellishments

We spent 6 weeks this summer wandering through Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks.  Then we spent 3 weeks exploring Idaho.  It was a great trip but smokie from all the fires burning out west and really really hot!

We spotted this black bear while driving through the park.  A friend traveling with us snapped the photo out the window.  Both photos are of the same bear, just in different light.

Another scrapbook friend, Billie, cut the Grand Teton sign for me.  It works great with my layout made with Stamperia Forest papers.

The leaves and acorns are chipboard pieces and I colored them with Lindy's Mists.  I like to use mists as a coloring agent when I have pieces that have etched engravings as these do.  The mists doesn't filled up the etched lines, thus preserving the details.

The bear is fussy cut from the papers.

I used 3 different acorn branches and clusters and layered them, creating a border of sorts,

The moose's antlers are colored with Distress Stain in Picket Fence.  I gave his body a furry appearance by using brown fiber (like Flower Soft) which is easy to use.  Just put adhesive on the chipboard and sprinkle all over with the fiber particles.

Spellbinder's Amazing Paper Grace Club Kit

WOW!  Take a look at Spellbinders' September Amazing Paper Grace Club Kit!  It's a 3-D  Vintage Cash Register that folds flat so that you can use it on a card.

This is just too cute!!  I used black, brown, and gold cardstock to fashion my register.  Then to glam it up, I rubbed gold Luster Wax over the embossed pieces.

I turned this into a nice large card by layering up some cardstock and then adding that cute vintage cash register. Along the sides I used an older Spellbinders die, Swirls Strip. The gold panel layer was die-cut using a die from the  S5-230 Nestabilities Romantic Rose Etched Dies set.  I love tha the cash register will fold flat for easy mailing.

I love this die and that's:  😊

New Challenge at Creative Embellishments

Time for the September challenge at Creative Embellishments.  Here's the inspiration photo.  The twist this month is to add a  globe or map to your project.

I was inspired byt the travel elements in the photo so I scraped a pictureof my husband and me taken at Yellowstone NP and a picture of our home on wheels.

I used the globe Travel Corner to meet the twist.  I used Stampendous Aged Ivory and Eileen Hull Goldenrod embossing enamels to color the chippy.

One of my favorite design elements is to place pretty flourishes under my blooms to show them off. On this layout I used a flourish heat embossed to show off the pretty florals.
