Gifts from the heart and Graphic 45

Any gift that I give that contains Graphic 45 papers is a gift from my heart but when you add homemade love from the pantry, well that is a good as gift giving gets in my book!

I bought a wooden crate at Michael's, it was cheap and on sale, and altered it. I didn't repaint it as it was already a nice white distressed color.  Here's a before look:

I removed the metal piece from the front, (you bet I tucked it away for a future use) and proceeded to alter it with design paper from Graphic 45's The Christmas Carol and Home Sweet Home collections. The colors in these two collections blend beautifully together and I wanted to create something that would be cute in the kitchen throughout the year.  So when you remove the Merry Christmas tags and sign, it works for any season.

This would make a great gift for a neighbor, teacher or just someone you care about.  Mason jars are so trendy right now so this gift is sure to impress..  I've filled my crate with home made apple slices, applesauce and cinammon pickles.  You could take mason jars and fill them with candies - chocolate anyone?  How about a cake in a jar?  Check Pinterest for some great food gift ideas using Mason jars!

I used some wonderful blueberry chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments that go so perfectly with the Home Sweet Home collection as there are berry clusters in the design paper that I used.

Those large red flowers are Petaloo Botanica blooms.  I love the Botanica series!
