A new team for me and I AM THRILLED!!

Hello there paper peeps!!  I am so EXCITED, and you ask why?  Because, I have joined Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team!  Eileen's amazing designs are produced by Sizzix and today I am sharing a tutorial for a Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die - Journal.  I love this die, trust me, you want it!!  I am completely addicted to this die and have made a ton of these journals in the few months that I've owned this die.

So today, I'm sharing a junk journal that I made with Eileen's Journal die that has a travel theme.  I used Carta Bella's Transatlantic Travel for the cover.  Inside, I used some Authentique from their Explore and Pastime collections and then lots of "junk" from my stash!

I made a video tutorial for you that shows you how to make the cover for this journal and I show you how to make the signature inserts.  In this video, I share how to make aged and old looking papers as well as how to trim up your signatures nice and neat.

Sorry for he length of the "how to" video but it does take time to show all the techniques I used.  In this 2nd video, I do a flip through of all the pages after I've embellished and assembled the entire journal.

I stenciled a crackle design on the cover before adding a piece of chipboard and flowers.  The chipboard flourish is from Creative Embellishments and is heat embossed with Stampendous Aged Gold embossing enamel.

I added some sticker quotes from the Carta Bella Transatlantic collection that I used.
The great thing about Junk Journals is that they are the perfect medium for using up your stash.  Go ahead, dig out some old papers and turn them into junk journals.  You'll find a home in your junk journal for all those unused embellies.
Products Used:

Carta Bella Transatlantic paper collection
Petaloo flowers and acorn branch

Please visit again and often!  I will be sharing projects with Eileen's latest release towards the end of the month so be sure to come back for that.
