Happy Veteran's Day in the US and Remembrance Day in Canada

I hope everyone will pause in their busy day today and say a prayer of thanks to our soldiers. My father served in the Army for 28 years and is a veteran of WWII, and Vietnam.  He also did duty in Korea, but not during the "offical" war.  My husband gave the Navy 24 years of his life, and lost his father as a very small child to the Korean War.  Obviously, I have very strong ties to the military, but no matter how you feel about the Iraq/Afghanistan war, we can all pray for our soldiers' safety.  Happy Veteran's and Remembrance Day to all those who have served and are serving today.  I thank you with all my heart for your sacrifices.

Please leave a message for me and/or a prayer and our soldiers.

  1. Happy Veterans Day Maggie! I too have a strp-father who served in WW2 and I was talking with him about remembrance day. He still gets awfully sad when he talks about his experiences, but he is getting better. This year will be the first time he cannot make it to the services where he lives, he is rather ill at the moment, but I am sure he will remember.. as will I.

  8. Done and done. I'm proud to have an uncles and great uncles who served in one branch or another. My great uncle was a Death March Survivor from WWII. Blessings to the servicemen and women who keep me free.
