I love it when SNEAK PEEK day rolls around because the Creative Team is always so excited to share the KOM with you. And yeah, we say it every month, but we really mean it this time, this is our FAVORITE kit EVER!!! Alda just keeps out doing herself month after month.
This kit is absolutely crammed with goodies that you are going to want. Much coveted papers from "over there" as well as some fabulous US designs. I am really going to have to slap some duct tape over my kisser 'cause I am dying to tell you all about this wonderful kit!!
The kit will reveal and go on sale at 12:01 am April 3rd. I suggest you be waiting for it because, just like the others, it is going to sell out fast!
Without further ado, here are some sneaks. Be sure to check the April KOM thread in the forums for up close and personal sneaks!

Flying Unicorn Week 4 Fashion Extravaganza!
We have been having a blast this month at the Flying Unicorn Forum!! We've been doing haute couture this month and having a blast with it. This week I'm hosting the final challenge week and anything goes this week. The challenge is to create any clothing item 3-D or flat, anything goes! In particular, I'd love to see matching ensembles.
Here's my inspiration, I had sooooo much fun with this! meet Steampunk Betty! I used G45 Steampunk papers, the skirt is gathered satin ribbon, black felt for the corset and tulle for the over skirt.

I made a trunk purse to go with this using paper from G45 Romantique and Steampunk, Prima metal flowers, Timmy Holtz keyhole, Dusty Attic key and Alterations diecut gears heat embossed with aged silver embossing powder. I wrapped the corners with felt and used brads to give it an upholstered look.
I loved making this top hat! First I wrapped the crown in tulle to give it an old world look, then I added the flamboyant feathers and lots of flowers: felt, metal and paper and stickpins of course!! Most of the flowers came from the March kit and were just perfect for this hat.
I hope you'll design something to share with us at the Flying Unicorn, the challenge goes until 8 pm, March 31st, there is a great RAK to be won.

Have you seen this fabulous new line from Poland from 7 Dots Studios, Wonderland now in the store? It is so yummy gorgeous, the colors are so rich. I decided to go grunge today as I need a break from frilly laces and flowers now and then!
Did either of you notice that your “comrade” there is holding a pistol in his hand?? Do you know why they call that a deadman’s chest? You kids need to get some smarts and watch who you’re hanging out with!! You are a dog and a cat, you really are not pirates my loves, you really need to get a reality check!!!! Please come home Chena, I am worried about your sweet furry face and Miss Kitty, she isn’t a pirate, she’s a sweet little cat and she belongs home with Stay Behind Cat.
I had a blast making this layout and really loaded up on some fun techiques. I started with a base paper - Duchess, next I cut a piece of Spades and Clubs and used one side as a backdrop for the DA vine and the otehr side as a large mat behind the photo. I also tucked in a piece of Mushroom and Smoke, that's the spotted paper. I made some embellies from the spots that I cut out and covered with glossy accents. The whole idea I'm trying to convey here is an underwater world, so the dots are things floating in the water.
I've tucked in some Dusty Attic fish net that I've stained with Lindy's Cattail Copper Brown mist and I layered in some burlap at the top. Then the large photo mat is water distressed and heavily inked with Distress Black Soot and Scattered Straw. Directly under the photo is Lindy's fusible webbing that I first inked with Prima inks in English Ivy and Blue Jay, then I sprinkled with Stampedous aged silver, emerald and sapphire embossing powders and heated to give it that great lacey effect.
The hinges are Tim Holtz grungeboard that I heat embossed with Stampendous aged silver, love that stuff, really gives a great aged look. Just under the large photo mat, I stuffed inked and crumpled old tax code! Best use of tax code I've had in years! (I am a tax accountant.) The letters are Kaisercraft chipboard that I covered with gold stickles.
I added a few shells and Prima vintage metals to finish it off. I love how this came out, really fulfilled my need to get away from pretty!
There are two other fabulous collections available at the Flying Unicorn Store, Dreamer and All I Ever. Be sure and check them out!
Sooooo….where DID Chena and Escape Kitty find that treasure chest? Oh those two, they’ve been sailing the high seas and roaming around the wilds of Australia for the last couple of months (they’ve got Jen’s credit card this time, HA HA) Looks like they stumbled on the Black Pearl and found the Deadman’s Chest. Hmm, the least you could of done Chena, was gotten a photo with Johnny Depp in it!! And are you bringing me some of those jewels, you know you could get out of debt that way.

Hopefully this photo means the girls are sailing home from the wilds of Australia . Sail safe Kitty, Chena be nice, don’t end up in the brig!!
Many thanks to Jen (jrabs) for allowing Chena and I to play with Miss Kitty! Be sure to check out Escape Kitty's blog.

More from the Flying Unicorn March KOM!
I have lots to share with you today, I've been busy these last few days!
First I want to show you this card I made. It is special for two reasons, the most important of which is that it was for my Mom's 90th birthday!! And not so important, but really, I seldom make cards so this is a milestone, LOL!!
The March kit included some wonderful Kanban papers that had this divine image on it, what luck for me that it had the Happy Birthday tag also! I combined the Kanban with a sheet a Bazzill cardstock and BasicGrey Little Black Dress - Foxy Posh. The large flower is a fabulous bloom from Manor House. Their flowers are divine!! The smaller roses are no name from my stash. The bloom above the tag is from the kit and is a Petaloo Color Me Crazy orchid stained with Lindy's Alpine Rose.
The Kanban and BasicGrey papers in the kit are so elegant that I had this vision of a layout featuring a true beauty, this photo of Elizabeth Taylor fit my vision perfectly! I mixed BasicGrey Little Black Dress - Vogue and Foxy Posh with Kanban Couture Chic-white and added Bo Bunny Enchanted Noteworthy journal spots as accents for this layout. The Dusty Attic (DA0542) corners are from my stash and are painted with oyster Luminarte. The cameo is something I've been hoarding forever and thought it was perfect for this LO, and of course I had to add lots and lots of bling for a Liz LO, ZVA and Recollections.
We are having so much fun this month making fun fashions, come join in the fun. This week our challenge is to create a hat so I made this fun little garden hat. Here in the south its past time to be thinking about the garden so I thought I'd better get myself a hat to wear, LOL! I used a little hat form for the crown and then cut a large brim that I cut on the edge with a Martha Stewart punch. I added two ribbons and the flowers, the large one is a Flying Unicorn brand flower, new in the store, I love them!!!
And finally I made this simple little shoe last week during shoe week.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, hope to see you at the Flying Unicorn some time!

This layout was also done with the March KOM. I combined papers from BG Little Black Dress (Black and White) and Inkido Rosebuds & Vintage Love for this. I also added a sheet of cardstock and the tan diecut (CI) from my stash. the DA corner, bird and cage are also from my stash. The large bloom is from the store, Manor House, I am loving their flowers!! The heart and wine rosebuds are from the Feb KOM. This was a fun project that I did for a challenge that Alda is hosting at the Flying Unicorn this month, it was quite the challenge, come join us, there's a great RAK up for grabs.

March Flying Unicorn KOM - Putting on the Ritz!
I am thrilled to share these layouts with you that I did using the March KOM and addons. We are all about fashion this month and this kit is great for fashion inspired projects but its also versatile so that you can make any kind of project. The mix of papers is really outstanding, I loved the Kanban paper that I used on this layout - perfect for this wedding layout. Note that the butterflies and flowers are actually silver foil and they picked up reflected colors when I photographed. The silver is so pretty, but it acted a bit like a mirror in this photo.
The Flying Unicorn takes great pride in bringing you beautiful papers from all over the world and this month we are so excited to introduce you to Inkido papers from Sweden. I really loved working with these soft pink colors, so perfect for this layout of my grand-daughters!
I love this picture of my brother and me, it was taken in Verdun, France where my Dad was stationed in 1951-1954 witht he US Army. The base paper is Inkido that I masked with Prima masks and Glack Magic Glimmer Mist. The scalloped paper is BasicGrey Little Black Dress collection that I fussy cut. I diecut the swirls using a Sizzix die. The flowers are a mix of felt and fabric flowers. I love the Eiffel Tower chippie, its a Pink Paislee House of 3 design.
I've saved my favorite thing from the kit for the last, and its the Off the Page project!! This is a 17" tall wooden dress manequin that has a stand so that your beautiful creation will stand on its on. Isn't this just soooo sooo fun? I dressed my mannequin in papers from the BasicGrey Little Black Dress collection and black tulle from my stash.
My design was inspired by this gown created by Christian Dior. He is the designer that I decided to use as my fashion muse this month. I think this gown is divine!!
I hope that you will join us at the Flying Unicorn this month. We have so many fun challenges going on! In addition to the monthly challenges we always have, we're having our Haute Couture at the Flying Unicorn challenges too. We're designing fashion collections, making shoes, purses, all kinds of great accessories. Come join us and maybe you'll win one of our fabulous RAKS!

Hey scrappers!!
I am so excited to announce our new March Guest Designer at Flying Unicorn but first want to say what a fabulous experience it was to have Gerry van Gent as our February designer! A little about Jeni:
