Heritage Layout for Creative Embellishments

Creative Embellishments has some fabulous doilies that can be used in so many ways.  On this layout, I used a doily to frame a photo of my parents when they were teenagers and not yet married.  Love how this looks!

The paper I used is so pretty, I decided to just go with the single sheet and let the chipboard take center stage.   I did add some stenciled on small circles with a stencil from Creative Embellishments.  There are some great stencils in the store, check them out here .

I layered a title chippy, Love, over the doily chippy that I heat embossed.  The doily has a light coat of white gesso over it.

Of course, the finishing touch is flowers, a favorite bloom from Petaloo.  Sigh, I really miss Petaloo flowers!

My Best Friends, Layout for Creative Embellishments

I created this layout for Creative Embellishments using Graphic 45's new Well Groomed Collection.  Love the collection but I am disappointed there are no poodle images!  After all, what is more groomed than a poodle?  😄😊

Nika is the older of the 2 and she usually sits in the chair and the other, Tisha, has a nice dog bed.  Well on this day, Tisha decided she wanted the chair.  She got in the chair stepping on Nika and then sat right down on top of poor Nika!  Dear Nika is such a sweet soul, she got down and let Tisha have the chair.  That's the way everything goes between those two.  Tisha's nickname is Me-me.  Why?  Because it's all about Me  (Tisha).  

I used the Muddy Paws stencil to add some paw prints on my layout using black modeling paste.

Friends Fur-ever is a great title piece and comes with the red heart.  I heat embossed both the words and the heart.  The bone is so cool, it is black acrylic from Creative Embellishments.

I tucked a couple of the acrylic bones into the floral cluster.  Can you spot them?

Vintage Flower Truck for Eileen Hull Designs for Sizzix

 This little vintage truck is absolutely adorable and all of Eileen Hull's design team is crazy about it!  I've recorded a process video for you down below.

I forgot to mention in the video that I use adhesive sheets to adhere my paper to my mat board.  I like how easy that is to use and that you get full coverage glue down.

Welcome to the Eileen Hull Designs Blog Hop where the design team is showcasing Eileen's new release. Celebrate every day with these versatile Chapter 3 Sizzix dies! Although themed as a holiday collection, just think of how many ways you can decorate these dies to celebrate every season of the year, simply by changing out the paper and colors!

The Truck and Camper (released earlier) pair are a match made in heaven. Set it on the mantel, (paired with the Camper die!), hang on the tree, fill with treats or create your holiday cards with them. The Ornament Box may be used several ways- use the circle shapes separately as ornaments or build up the sides and add treats, snacks and gifts. Decorate the box with elements from the Thinlits Wreath & Snowflake dies or use those elements in your journals, tags, pages and pockets!

My Project

I decided to go with a different season.  I thought these ghosts needed a truck and travel trailer!  😄👻👻  The two pieces make such an adorable pairing!

Here's a closer look at the truck.  It is open inside so you can fill it with candy, a small gift, whatever you like!  

This little travel trailer is so adorable!  It's also open in the middle so it can be filled with goodies too!

Creative Embellishments July Challenge

It's the first of July and time for another challenge at Creative Embellishments.  This month the twist is to use a stamped image on your project.  Here's the inspiration photo. 

I love the Grunge Heart Corner stamp and chippy and thought it would make a fun art panel paired with a Bigger Back Chat quote from Dyan Reaveley.   I purposely created a dichotomy of design by using pretty romantic paper as the background and then using grunge pieces to embellish.  For all you single gals out there, the quote is right on isn't it?

I layered up 3 hearts to get my effect beginning with a Heart Doodle Frame on the bottom, topped with the Grunge Heart Corner chipboard piece.  I stamped the Grunge Heart Corner stamp onto mixed media paper and colored it with watercolor pencils, fussy cut and used foam tape to pop up over the Grunge Heart chippy.

I used embossing enamel on all the chipboard pieces.

I also stamped on the background with the Hearts Stamp.   To add to the grunge effect I used Distressed Checker Pieces on the left side of the tag.
