New Stamp Set from Eileen Hull by Maker Forte!

Eileen Hull's new stamp release is great.  You'll love using it with your planners, cards and layouts!  It has so many uses.  I made two cards to share with you today just to give you a quick flavor of this fun new set.

Here's what the set looks like.

My Cards

First up a birthday card with a sentiment, dream a little, from the new Making Plans stamp set.  I also used a Happy Birthday stamp from a previously released set, Snail Mail Postage.  I framed the sentiment using one of the blank label stamps also included in Making Plans.
The beautiful embossed panel is Eileen's newest 3D embossing folder, Crochet Mandala and those adorable little flowers are diecuts from a recently released Sizzix Thinlits Shadow Box Frame #1.

I used an older die from Eileen's Bookplate, Hinges & Label Thinlit set to diecut the stamped Happy Birthday sentiment.  Unfortunately,  Sizzix has discontinued this set but maybe you could find it elsewhere.

A Masculine Card

This is a fun card I made for my favorite car guy!  I used Making Plans stamps to stamp the month and year and added large foam Thickers to mark the day.

Eileen's Snail Mail Everyday Sentiments had a great stamp that I used to make frames for the elements that I fussy cut from the design paper.  (Eileen's Snail Mail by Sizzix Thinlits set works with this stamp as it diecuts the stamped image in to little stamps, I love that set!)

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Snail Mail Everyday Sentiments stamp set.

I thought the banners added the perfect festive touch to my card.  They were diecut with an olde Eileen Thinlit set, Banners and Pennants.

Another way to use the new Making Plans stamps is on your layouts.  With these stamps you can easily add a reference date so that years from now, you'll know when your layout photos were taken.  The blan labels are so versatile and will work with many of your stamps.

What I love most about this stamps set and all of Eileen's prducts is that they work so well together. When I'm designing for Eileen, I get out all my Eileen "stuff" and create.  I seldome need to use any other products!

Thanks for joining me today!

Blog Hop Featuring New Products from Eileen Hull Designs

I am so excited to share Eileen Hull Designs Chapter 1 release with you! The dies in this collection are versatile, practical and fun to embellish.

The Phone Stand, an XL ScoreBoards die, is a MUST- you need one for every room! Make for yourself, family, friends, for gifts, or to sell.  The die cuts the Phone Stand in one pass and is very easy to assemble.

The Book Box can be used to make a book or a box that holds A-2 greeting cards. What a great way to package handmade cards ... or a quick and easy book!

Add the Vintage Buttons folder to create vintage backgrounds for cards, journals, pages and tags. The 3D effect is stunning when you add a little Luster Wax to bring out the highlights...

The Snail Mail Thinlits die cuts a postal pane that coordinates with two of Eileen's Snail Mail Maker Forte stamps. This die was designed to use on the front of an A-2 card!

To celebrate this great new release, we're having a blog hop and it starts tomorrow (Tuesday, February 1) on Eileen's blog, so hop on over!

The Book Box by Eileen Hull

The new Book Box die is amazing!!!!!  I am loving it. I made this adorable button box using the new Book Box die and a new Vintage Buttons embossing folder.  At 5" x 6.5", the box is just perfect for stashing my collection of vintage buttons.  It's also perfect for holding small gifts, candies, oh so many possibilities!

Facebook Live

Join me and Eileen Hull February 3 at 4 pm EST for a Facebook Live.  I'll show you  some fun techniques using the Textured Impressions Vintage Button Embossing Impressions and an easy closure for the box!

I used a stamp from Eileen's Maker Forte Stamp Set, Buttons, Cards and More, to make the "Sunshine Buttons" title.

I found this adorable sewing machine charm on Amazon.

I made a Vintage Buttons embossed panel to use in the bottom of the box.

New Eileen Hull Dies and Stamps - Sizzix Chapter 4

Lots to share with you today including some things that were in Eileen's blog hop last week.

Let's start with the fabulous Sweater Embossing Folder.  Oh how I love this embossing folder!   The detail that pops out when using this embossing folder is just amazing!

Looks just like a knitted glove!

To make the glove, I die cut a glove using Eileen's Mitten Box Scoreboard die from Core'dinations Color Core cardstock.

Now a BIG WORD about embossing with this folder! This is a 3D Textured Embossing Folder and uses a DIFFERENT sandwich than most texture folders. Ok, not being a smart a** here but pay attention 'cause this is important. The sandwich for a Vagabond is: platform, embossing folder, cutting pad. (That's probably the sandwich for your machine too BUT verify that before cutting.) JUST ONE CUTTING PAD. I am "yelling" because I have broken not 1, but 2 Vagabonds using the WRONG sandwich. (yeah stupid me!!)  Please be careful!  I have a written note taped right beside my diecutting machines, telling me the CORRECT SANDWICH  And after all that, I still did it wrong and broke my machine!!! It's so easy to get in the automatic mode and not pay attention to what you are doing.  I suspect that it is much easier to break an electric machine than a manual machine as I think you would feel the resistance more with a manual machine and not force the folder in but with the Vagabond, when I realized it was the wrong sandwich, it had already gone "bang, pop",  uh oh, WTH, yikes machine broke!

Here's some additional information about the 3D folders, click here. (Textured Fades = Textured Impressions)

Ok enough lecture, 😆!  To get a really good embossed impression, first mist the embossing folder, top and bottom.

Then place the die-cut glove inside the embossing folder. I didn't want the cable stitch on the glove's cuff so I positioned the glove in the embossing folder such that the cuff was sticking outside the folder. After properly positioning, run it through your die cut machine 3 times.  That helps get a really great embossed image.

Let the embossed paper dry before doing anything else to it.  (You can use your heat gun to dry quickly.)  After my glove was dry, I lightly sanded over the embossing to bring out the knitted stitch. I think my glove has a heather blue appearance now.

To make the card, I just placed the glove over a Stamperia journaling card and fussy cut some flowers. I placed that on a scalloped die-cut of coordinating of card stock and adhered to a card that is 4 1/8" x 5 3/4".

The finished card.

The Bigz Notebook Die

Now let's take a look at the Bigz Notepad die. This is great to make little gifts or favors as the notepad measures 3 5/8" x 4 3/8". I used Graphic 45's Come One, Come All collection to embellish the Notepad.

It's a great size to hold Post-it notes so I filled mine with the sizes I used the most. The Notepad also includes closure and pen holder tabs but I didn't need those.  The Notepad stays nicely closed when used with Post-it Notes.

You could also use this for a small notebook! Just diecut a bookbinding insert with  Eileen's Bookbinding and Label thinlit set.

The Heart Mandala Die

Did you know Eileen has a new line of stamps out?  I made this card using stamps from her latest release and the newly released thinlit die, The Heart Mandala.

I stamped the flowers onto mixed media paper and then used watercolors to color them.  Remember Eileen's Bookmark, Tag & Pocket Framelits die set?  The "Create With Abandon" is stamped onto the tag and then turned upside down.

I was feeling very bright on the day I made this so I just used some miscellaneous papers from my stash. "Be Kind" and "Explore" are stamped onto die cuts using the Eileen's Sizzix Framelits Die Set  Bookplate, Hinges & Label. (This one has been discontinued)

New Eileen Hull Sizzix Chapter 4 Release

The Chapter 4 Sizzix Release is exciting for so many reasons- there are two never-done-before designs! One is the Full Size Journal which is a Bigz Pro size- you will need a machine with at least a 9" throat to cut this die- like a Big Shot Plus or Pro. Not to worry- if you don't have that machine, Eileen will have the pre-cut pieces available in her Etsy store for you to work with. The other new technology is a 3D Embossing Folder! It's called Sweater and is oh so cozy. Also new this release is a Bigz Notepad die with lots of options for materials and uses, and a Heart Mandala Thinlits to decorate with!

There is a GIVEAWAY too- leave a comment on each of the designers' blog posts and you will be entered to win one of the new dies! Another prize will be given to someone who attends and comments in the Release Party Facebook Live.

My Projects -

I have lots to share with you today so grab you favorite snack and settle in!

The Full Size Journal

First up-, The Full Size Journal, I am absolutely loving it!  It's already my favorite sized journal for making mini albums, measuring 6" x 8 3/4" and nearly 2" thick.  There's so much room on each page for photos and journaling. I used Graphic 45's new Halloween collection, Midnight Tales, to craft this mini.

Scroll down a ways and I have a flip through video of the mini showing you all the pages and giving you some background information.

Flip-Through Video

On the left, at the bottom, I made two pockets using Eileen's Pocet die from the Folio Page, Pocket & Flowers set.  Then I added a cut-apart over the two pockets in the center.

I made a waterfall page using Eileen's recently released Waterfall & Tags set.

I made tuck spots and tucked in different sized tags made with
Eileen's Waterfall & Tags set. On the right side is a Sizzix die-cut file folder, cut with a really old Sizzix steel-ruled die.

Eileen's tags.

Each page of the mini is a pocket page so I put a large G45 tag inside each page pocket.

This is a "wild and crazy" page!  Not only does it have a flip up, when you flip up the top page a fold out page is beneath.  On the right fold out flap is Eileen's needle book and in the center are more of Eileen's tags.

Needle Book, File Folder

The Bigz Notebook Die

This was made with the Bigz Notepad die. The notepad is 3 5/8" x 4 3/8".

More information coming on the Notepad and Heart Mandala die in a later post!

New Stamps from Eileen Hull Designs!

Finally!!  I can now tell you about Eileen Hull's new stamp sets premiering today!  Join Eileen on her Facebook Live today, to get a close up look at these stamps. This first release features 2 great stamp sets and a background stamp.  Take a look!

Buttons, Cards and More Set (6x8)                                Snail Mail Everyday Sentiments Set (6x8)

Vintage Damask (4x6)

There are so many ways to use these stamps.  I made a couple of vintage cards but there are so many other things you can do with these.  Be sure to keep an eye on Eileen's blog for ideas.

First let's take a look at a simple vintage thank you card.

I love this sentiment from the Buttons, Cards and More Set.  Here's the great thing about this sentiment - It's exactly the same shape as the label diecut from Eileen's Gift Box XL Die!  I just stamped onto cardstock and then diecut with the label die. This is another way to use your Eileen products together.  The wreath surround and bow are diecuts from the recently released Wreath and Snowflake Thinlits Dies.  I love how I can use dies from different sets all together on one project.

Near the bottom on the striped strip I used the thanks sentiment from the Snail Mail Everyday Sentiments Set.

On this card I created a background with the Vintage Damask Stamp.  Then I stamped the Sunshine Buttons Stamp  from the Buttons, Cards and More Set onto cardstock.

Rather than showing the stamped button images, I glued real buttons onto the front.

A little lace across the bottom completes the vintage look!

Aside from cards, think about the great ephemera you could make with these stamps, library cards, button cards, tickets, all distressed and ready to pop into a junk journal or onto a vintage tag.  I just got these stamps after returning from a 6 week vacation so I haven't had much time to play with them but my mind is churning with ideas!  Stay tuned!
