Beautiful, layout for Creative Embellishments

Hi there paper peeps, sharing a favorite photo of my sweet fur babies today scrapped with Photo Play papers and perfectly embellished with chipboard from Creative Embellishments!  The girls adore each other so much that most of the time they are cuddled up together like in this photo.

I recently discoverd Photo Play papers and this one, French Flea Market is just so feminine and perfect for my poodles!  I love the pink with the toile like paper, it really pulls the photo into perfect harmony with the layout.

Creative Embellishments first had these word borders that fit a 12 x 12, now they've made the word borders in smaller sizes.  I love how the word sits perfectly under the photo as if it were part of the photo.  I used shabby pink embossing enamel to finish off the chippy.

Underneath my floral clusters I used corner flourishes and although they are partly hidden, the flourishes still give the clusters that extra something that makes them really stand out.  I used a two part process to treat them, first I covered with Prima's vintage gold Metallique Wax and then I added some embossing enamel, being sure to leave bare spots where the gold would shine through.

Fancy this Fan - Creative Embellishments

Let's take a trip back in time and think of the days when ladies coquettishly fanned themselves and used their fans to cover their bosoms.  This fan would have made quite the statement back then!  It's trimmed up with pretty laces and flowers and Prima's Rossibelle papers.

I used Creative Embellishments chipboard Victorian Fan 2 as the base for this piece.  There are several styles of Victorian fans in the store, that are all so pretty!  I think this would be such a beautiful wall piece in a feminine bathroom.  I'd love it in my bathroom!  Hmmm, my husband might not though, LOL!!!

I traced the fan blades onto design paper, then cut and adhered to the chipboard.  I sanded around the edges for a perfect finished look.  Then I glued them together and added Petaloo's new roses and a pretty organza ribbon.  That's it, really this is an easy project but oh so pretty and feminine.

Thanks for joining me today on a little trip to yesteryear!

Cheery Lynn Thank You Card

Nothing says thank you better than a handmade card!  This is a large 7.5" x 6" card.  The base is simple cream cardstock and then I added several layers.  First a simple rectangle layer, then a layer cut with the Coved Rectangle Stitch Nesting Set.  Next two different sized cuts with the Rectangle Scalloped LG Purple Stackers Nesting Dies.

In the left corner I added the Victorian Romance Flourish Die.  This is such a pretty cut, it really adds a little pizazz to my card I think.  The thank you sentiment is the Thank You 2 Piece Die Set .

On the right I used the Inkwell & Quill 2 Piece Die Set.  I really love this die, its so fun and so vintage!  And of course I had to add some flowers.  I used the medium and large rose die sets to created these gorgeous roses.  These are the best rose dies I have used.  It's so easy to make a really pretty rose with these dies because the die cuts 7 pieces at once.  With one cut you have all the layers you need to assemble these gorgeous roses.  No more repetitive cutting!

Tag and card for Creative Embellishments

I made this fun tag and card set with the Prima Rossibelle collection.  Love the pink, black and bright white of these papers.

The Infinite Rectangle Frame is a great frame to draw attention to a photo or area of your tag.  I used it on this tag to define the center section.

I used the Grunge Star Corner to add a bright visual element.  I heat embossed it with Stampendous chunky white embossing enamel which gives a  bright white enamel look that I really love.

Then I added a Thank You sentiment from the Small Sentiment Words collection.  Both the words and frame are heat embossed with detail black embossing powder. These words are the perfect size for cards and tags.  I finished off the tag with pretty canvas Petaloo blooms, some diecut greenery and a pristine white bow.

I also used the Small Sentiment Words  for the sentiment on this card.  The flourish is from the Vintage Flourish Set 1 and is heat embossed with Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Enamel.

I used more of those gorgeous Petaloo cnavas blooms on the card!

Shaking it with Cheery Lynn Designs!

Have you seen the fabulous new shaker card kits from Cheery Lynn Designs?  I've used the Champagne Bottle Shaker Card Kit to make this tag.  The kit comes with everything you need to make a shaker:  dies, foam, acetate, and even some cool shakers!  Even better, you can buy the individual pieces seperately.

Here's a closeup of the shaker which I filled with hearts and congrats shakers from Cherry Lynn.  I also added some bling pieces for fun.

When I make tags I like to layer them up and use foam or cardboard to pop them up.  On this tag I used a base paper cut from Prima's Romance Novel on the tag, then from the bottom up, I layered the Priscilla Doily, the middle Horizon Coved Rectangle, and the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame.  I topped that with the champagne bottle shaker and added a pretty bow. Presto!  You've got a fun tag to accompany a wedding gift.  You could put different shakers inside and this would be a great tag for a New Year's Eve bash hostess gift.  The Champagne Bottle Shaker kit comes with champagne bottle and glass shakers.

I appreciate you stopping by today, thanks so much!

Layout with Creative Embellishments

Here you have it, posing with Jack Daniels while standing on a rock, so what does that make?  why, Jack on the Rocks of course!

I used one of my favorite frames to accentuate my photo, the Circle Vine Frame which I heat embossed with Stampendous Aged Ivory..  Then I cut Flourish Set 30 up and tucked pieces in amongst all my flowers.  I used Lindy's Mists to color the leaves.  I used the Basic Alphabet set for title words.

For my title I used a word phrase, Capture the Moment, again heat embossed.with aged ivory embossing enamel.  Yes, that is my go to product, I just love that stuff!  On the background I used one of Creative Embellishments stencils, Fairy Dust, along with The Crafter's Workshop Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste.  That is some great stuff, WOW.  It holds its shape nicely so I was able to get nice crisp edges.
I used lots of Petaloo blooms to finish off my layout.  They look so pretty with the Creative Embellishment flourishes tucked underneath.

A layout with Cheery Lynn dies!

OK, major excitement for me, I was asked to be a guest designer for Cheery Lynn dies and WOW, do I ever love these dies, they are so fabulous.  I love how the paper so easily releases from the dies and that you can cut through two layers of cardstock with the dies.  I am a layouts and tags kinda gal with the occasional off the page project and card thrown into the mix, so today I want to share a layout with you that also goes along with the Cheery Lynn's September 1 challenge theme to use lace.  I love using lace and ribbons on my layouts so I used a pretty heart lace all around my photo.

I used the Victorian Romance Flourish in each of the 4 corners to set the base for my floral clusters.  Then I added Flourish # 7 -CAFLRS7.  To make those flourishes extra pretty, I inked them around the edges.  Inking creates depth and I love layers, depth and dimension.

I have to have layers under my photos so I used the Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker - DL 251 to cut a large and medium mat for my photo.

I am totally a flowers kinda gal and I am totally crazy about the Cheery Lynn flower dies!  I used the Black Eyed Susan Strip die B338 to create the pointed petal flowers and the Floral Bouquet Kit B777.

I especially love the black eyed susan center, it's so easy to make and looks so fabulous!  I inked the edges of my flowers, shaped the petals with a large ball stylus and they layered them up.

Now flowers need some leaves around them to make them look realistic so I diecut leaves and berries with the Floral Bouquet Kit (B777).  That kit is so versatile because you get two sizes of flowers plus pretty stems, leaves, and berries!  I also added some Lindy's mist to the petals so that the color would be mottled and more realistic.

For these flowers, I used both the small and large flower in the Floral Bouquet Kit (B777).  The center is made up of 3 small flowers.  To make the small flower and the center of the large flower, I just pinched the petals together and gave them a nice scrunch.

Layout Creative Embellishments & Flying Unicorn Sept KOM

Hey ya'll!  That's how we greet everyone in the south!  So today, I have a fun layout that I did with the just released September Flying Unicorn kit and some fabby Creative Embellishments chippies and a great grunge stamp!  I've used new Prima Rossibelle papers for this layout.

I started out by stamping all around the edge with the Burlap stamp.  Then I layered some papers under my photo. That cute little bird is from the Birds set.  I just misted him.  I didn't want him to stand out, I just wanted him to be quietly perched there on the flower!

Next came the really fun Brick Pieces.  I gave those a light misting with Lindy's Crow's Nest Copper Moonshadow Mist.

I used two  different word borders.  I also gave these a quick misting with the same Lindy's mist.

Of course, my layouts are not complete until I add lots of pretty blooms.  I've mixed flowers from the Flying Unicorn September kit with Petaloo flowers from my stash.
