Happy Day card for Cheery Lynn Designs

Wishing you a very happy day with this vintage styled card using Prima's Vintage Emporium 6 x 6 paper pad. I used a lacy patterned print page on the bottom and then layered and stacked different diecuts to make my card.

From the bottom, the first layer is the Royal Scandinavian Boutique Stacker, next a Celtic Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frame, then Coved Rectangle Stitch And Cut Tool,  the Oval Frame Die and finally the sentiment is stamped onto a small Pierced Stacker Die.  Then I topped those layers with Manon's Wedding Garland Die and flowers from the same die set along with small flowers from the Floral Bouquet Kit.  To finish it off, I glued the layers to a brown cardstock card leaving a brown edge all around the card.

In this photo you can see the dimension that is created by popping up some of the layers and the dimension of the flowers that is created by giving each of the petals a twist.

Cheery Lynn Designs Valentine with new Bohemian Dies

The new Bohemian collection of dies is just fantastic.  I've used several of the dies from that collection to create this Valentine card.

The black and white overlay is the Paisley Frame - 2 Die Set.  On the right I added a diecut flower using the Indie Bouquet die set.

I also made a pretty rose using the Large rose dies.

It's alwyas nice to do the inside of a card too.  I diecut flowers, again with the Indie Bouquet dies and I stamped a sentiment onto the smallest diecut from the French Flair Pierce And Cut Tool - LG Silver Pierce Tool 6 Piece Die Set.

Thanks for joining me today!

I made a card!!! Now that is quite unusual for me!

My scrappy friends know that making cards is not my "thing," however, I decided that this year was my year to conquer the card!  So at Swirlydoos we have a card round robin every month.  Well I gathered up my courage and signed up, yikes it was scarry as the "twist" this month was to make a step card!  Ahhh but Cameo to the rescue; there just happened to be a Cameo cut for the perfect step card.

I followed Angelica aka Saga who makes gorgeous cards and she inspired me in a major way!!   Here is Angelica's card, isn't it just incredible?

I used Angelica's basic design but made it my own with a completely different color palette and style.  Once again I used Prima's Stationer's Desk, I just can't get enough of these papers!

The roses are handmade rolled roses and are really easy to do if you have a quilling tool.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
