Eileen's Sizzix Chapter 2 release is a little bit different because there are no ScoreBoards dies in this collection! This Release includes two Shadowbox Frames Thinlits sets that also include some decorative flowers and shapes. The pieces may be used interchangeably to create square and rectangular frames. The Shadowbox Elements Thinlits set contains more decorative pieces to embellish your fames with but they may also be used on cards, tags and journals! Topping it off is the Crochet Mandala 3D Embossing Folder that you will just have to have- the detail is absolutely incredible!
This set of dies is very versatile since all of the components coordinate and work together so you can create endless combinations of projects in multiple sizes and shapes. The embossing folder creates a beautiful background for all of the scenes you might want to make, in addition to all the other uses you will find for it.
Thanks for being open to new ways of creating!
GIVEAWAY: Comment on each participating designers blogs and during the live on Tuesday and let us know what you would create with these dies and you will be entered to win one of the items in the Chapter 2 release!

I am so crazy about this new Thinlit die release from Eileen Hull Designs by Sizzix. I tell ya, it is so addictive as you can see by all the projects I've done for this release.
The 3D frame is made from cardstock and goes together soooo easily! This die set comes with 2 sizes so that you can make a large and a small square frame or a nice rectangular frame. This is what the dies look like. You just need to cut 4 pieces and assemble.
With these 2 dies you can make a 6" or 5" square frame or a 5" x 6" rectangular frame like pictured below. There's also another set that makes a 4" square frame. (Those are the outside dimensions)
I've decorated the inside of this frame with elements from the Shadow Box Elements Thinlits. Wouldn't this be cute to make someone moving into a new home?
Sizzix sent me a pack of their Surfacez Cardstock which I used to construct the frames. Its a really good weight and has a solid core. Great paper! After building the frame, I added washi tape all around to add some fun florals. Inside the frame I used the new Shadowbox Elements to embellish inside. On the corner are a couple of handmade flowers (pink) as well as a purchased flower. It's always great when you can use your dies together and I've used 3 different dies to make this little spring shadow box. The frame is constructed using the largest 3D framelit, then the 3D Birdhouse (an older XL die) and the Telephone Stand.
Here you can see how I used the Telephone Stand to act as an easel for the shadowbox.
Here's a photocube I made using four 6" frames glued together.
Like most everyone in the world, I am so horrified by what is taking place in Ukraine. It is so incomprehensible, so heartbreaking.
I used the 6" framelit to make this. The word prayers is one of Eileen's thinlit dies from a couple years ago and the letters for Peace are Sizzix Lollipop steel ruled dies from the stone age, LOL! I bought them probably in 2005.
You can give a large (5.5" x 10") some real pizazz by adding a 3D frame to it. I used the smaller 5" framelit to make the frame. Along with these great dies, Eileen also released another 3-D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Crochet Mandala and I used this to make the embossed strips glued around the frame. Join me here on my blog, April 12th, and I'll show you how to assemble the frame with the embossing.
I'll be sharing more on all of these projects throughout this month. Thanks so much for your visit.
xoxo Maggi
