I used Mysterious Three paper and adhesive cardstock stickers from the collection to fashion this fun witch's boot.

 

Petaloo's Darjeeling Anemones and Botanica blooms are the perfect embellishment to make my boot a cute and fun Halloween decor item.  Best of all, you can fill the boot with candy! 

 I especially love the adhesive cardstock stickers that come with the collection.  I tied that cute little adhesive tag onto my boot lacing, I think it looks perfect there.

I embellished the top of my boot with a scalloped bat sticker strip and tucked that creepy spider in with my gorgeous Petaloo blooms.  I love how Petaloo flowers go so well with Authentique's papers, they just work so well together!

Creative Embellishments and fun embellishments!

This is such a fun crafty time of the year 'cause I love making spooky fun Halloween projects.  This is a little canvas that has two tombstone candy holders.  Aren't they just so fun?

I started out by misting a 8 x 10 canvas with gold and black mists.  I'm on vacation and scrapping in my mobile studio so I don't have my usual full complement of supplies.  I was really wishing

for some purple mist but, I made do with purple distress ink after the mists dried.

The title is a chipboard piece that I heat embossed with Stampendous Aged Spice embossing enamel.  The cute little witch's hat and bat over the H are part of the title chippie too.  The I added a couple more wood veneer bats that I painted black.

To finish it off, I added some Petaloo Botanica blooms, Cheery Lynn diecut foliage and a black cat.  I think every Halloween scene probably needs a black cat, right?

I've used one of my favorite Creative Embellishments chippies, Mr Bones as I call him.  He is so cute with his skeletal smile!  I painted him and the spiderweb with watered down white paint.

The candy box tombstones are a Silhouette cut file.  I embellished with chipboard zombie hands and Halloween flair buttons.  I love those even though they give me the creeps!

October Challenge at Creative Embellishments

New month, new challenge at Creative Embellishments, yay!!  It's October and of course the challenge is all about pumpkins, fall colors and Halloween and there's a twist to use metal on your project.  Our challenges are great because there's a $50 gift certificate awarded to one lucky person and the winner is selected randomly so everyone has an equal chance to win!  You can always find our challenge on the Creative Embellishments' blog, it's the first post listed.

This is the inspiration photo for October, don't you just love it?

 I am totally inspired by the fun Halloween look of the photo, so I created two Halloween tags.

 

For this first tag, I created a fun background by misting my tags with lots of spooky colors, black, green, purple and some gold to highlight the background. I painted the wood veneer pumpkins  with Silks.

The fussy cut pumpkin and raven along with the All Hallow's Eve tag are from Graphic 45's October Time to Flourish papers and tags. 

I used my very favorite Halloween skeleton chipboard piece and that 's Mr. Bones, as I affectionately call him!

 I also use a way cool giant spider from the Bugs set that I heat embossed with aged black embossing enamel.

Instead of my usual bow at the top of the tag, I decided to use a cool metal flair button from Creative Embellishments' Boo Flair Set and that also meets the metal twist this month!

I used the spooky Scarecrow Set on this tag.  I painted the body but used design paper for the scarecrow's clothing.  Watch out for black cat hiding in the flowers!  ☺

 

For the metal twist, I used a Graphic 45 Staples Metal Clock Key.

Halloween Chippies from Creative Embellishments

This is such a fun little candy box that I made from 2 square Graphic 45 tags and lots of fun Creative Embellishments Halloween chippies.

I just get the shivers seeing those zombie hands, I can imagine them grabbing me, LOL!  Ok I have a vivid imagination.  :-)  I colored the hands with a Faber Castell big brush pin.  I love the pumpkin face, I painted in with acrylic paints and then gave it some shine with mist.



I attached bows to both tags using ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon's August Assortment.  Then I topped the bows with wood veneer bats painted black.

This creepy spider is one of my favorite Halloween chippies.  I used black flower soft on the body of the spider to make it all hairy scary looking and on the creepy word I used Ranger black puffs embossing powder.  The web beneath the spider is heat embossed with aged silver embossing enamel.

I added flair buttons on the inside of the tags to cover the backside of the grommet.




Of course, I had to add some flowers!  That large purple bloom is one of my favorite Botanicas  from Petaloo.  The orange flowers are just some loose flowers from my stash.

Halloween Tag with Cheery Lynn Designs

This is my last post as guest designer for Cheery Lynn Designs.    :-(   I am so sad!  

Creatively speaking, I'd have to say that Halloween is my favorite time of the year.  Although I don't really decorate for Halloween, I do love making Halloween themed items, especially tags!  I used lots of Cheery Lynn dies on this tag that I made from Graphic 45's Steampunk Spells.

I started out with a blank black tag and first adhered a cut from  the largest of the  Horizon Coved Rectangle stacker set.

These flowers and leaves  are cut from black cardstock using the Floral Bouquet Kit and Flourish # 14.  After assembling them, I misted with Lindy's Starburst Mist Golden Lump O'Coal.  That gave them that fun gold gilded look.

For these flowers, I used the Floral Bouquet Kit,  Black Eyed Susan, and Flourish # 14 dies.

Of course, you have to have a frightful black cat and a spider!

Love the Happy Halloween  banner.  I think it's on all my Halloween designs this year!  Top it all off with a funky bow and you've got a fun tag!

 Thank's so much to cheery Lynn for having me as your guest designer this month.  I really can't say enough good things about these dies.  The cuts are always crisp and clean and literally fall out of the dies.  No more poking through tiny holes that my old eyes have a hard time seeing!
