Flying Unicorn August KOM - Play in the Sunshine

Time for Reveal of the fabulous and playful August KOM, Play in the Sunshine, from the Flying Unicorn.  The kit features bright colors from Echo Park Beautiful Life and Fancy Pants Memories Captured.  This kit is just right for capturing those delightful summer days and memories.

First up I have a layout of my Mom and her great grandson that I scrapped with a combination of papers from both Echo Park and Fancy Pants.  I love to use black as an accent on my layouts and I thought the black papers were perfect focusing on the photo.

This little cutie is our youngest grandson.  I've used Echo Park's Memories Captured for this layout.  I chose a ScrapFx wordlet chippy from my stash for the title that I heat embossed with Stampendous Aged Spice.  Those embossing powders are so perfect for covering chippies.  I also did some embossing with TCW mini Kaleidoscope mask and Shimmerz Spun Sugar paste.

We have two beautiful grand daughters and one of them spent a week with us last month and she and I scrapped together.  She was quite the scrapper, she did an whole album while she was here!

 

This photo is of her when she was 6 I guess.  We took the grandkids to a fun park and the younger kids really loved driving the kiddie go-carts! 

 

I used Fancy Pants for this layout and decided to go kind of grungy!  I did some embossing with Shimmerz TextureZ and dripped on some 13 Arts Ayeeda inks.  Then some splashs of Lindy's to complete my oily grungy look.

Our  main kit always  includes a great Off the Page project.  This month the OTP is this awesome Kaisercraft wooden chest.  I love it!  The little drawers are perfect for storing my Flying Unicorn metal adornments, sorted between gold and silver color.

Everything I used on the chest is from my stash.  I used Kaisercraft's 75 Cents collection for paper, that is definitely my favorite collection from Kaisercraft ever!  I used a gold Petaloo vine at the top and then filled in with a large Prima flower and then Flying Unicorn smaller flowers.  I decorated the back and sides with diecut stickers and cutouts from the collection. To finish it off I added bead strings down the sides.
